Tennis After School (TAS) is a great way to introduce kids to the wonderful game of tennis, a lifetime sport!
Tennis After School is part of a nationwide effort by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to expand interest in the great sport of tennis. The Orange County Community Tennis Association (OCCTA) is proud to offer this exciting program to elementary and middle schools in Orange County.
To provide a convenient, safe, low-cost way for children to gain exposure to tennis
- Have fun with friends, play games, learn basic skills and a sport they can play, plus develop a healthy active habit for a lifetime
- To be able to rally the ball consistently with the forehand and backhand strokes
- Learn basic serve and volley skills
- Develop confidence in the ability to play tennis

About Our “Talent”
TAS Coordinator, Teresa Caro, a native of central Mexico, is an active tennis player at the Racquet Club of Irvine. She previously worked at the Child Development Centers (CDC) at the Alderwood School in Irvine from 2006-2011 as a teacher for their before and after school care. Prior to 2006 she was a substitute teacher for CDC for two years.Over the past 10 years, Teresa organized and coordinated Jr. Team Tennis teams for the USTA and currently works with the USTA Orange County Jr. Team Tennis Coordinator running the OC 10 andUnder Tennis Series Play Days.
